If you go to newly discovered tribes in the Amazon basin they laugh the same way as people do in New York, London, Stockholm or Hong Kong do!
As babies we actually start laughing long before we learn how to speak. Thus, we communicate in an inherited world-wide communication language that is known to all humans and brings humans together.
Research also shows that laughter is a message between people and we rarely laugh when we are alone. The same research also shows that laughter is contagious and that we laugh when other people are laughing. If you have listened to any of the laughters submitted on this blog you, of course, know that this is true. This is the reason we have created this blog!
Is laughter exclusive to humans? This researcher claims that animals also laugh. Many people are against animal testing but in this case we fully support it.
