August 18th, 2009 | By Christoffer in Laughter and health, Laughter yoga | No Comments »It has been shown that laughter has a positive effect on health. Endorfine is released and stress hormons are regulated making us feel more relaxed. This is supposed to lead to a better immunal system and more energy. It is believed by certain scientists that it does not even matter if the laughter is sincere or not.
These ideas brought Indian Med. Dr. Madan Kataria to think about starting what is known as laughter yoga. During laughter yoga, you start off with breathing sessions and go on to practise certain type of laughs. After a while you start laughing naturally!
